Sadie is a writer/director based in London. She holds an MFA in Theatre Directing from Birkbeck and has been resident director at Leeds Playhouse and the Young Vic Theatre. She has been assistant/associate director to Sam Yates, Jeremy Sams and Stephen Daldry and has worked with actors of the highest caliber, among them Dame Vanessa Redgrave.

For theatre, her directing credits include SUPERSTAR (Southwark Playhouse), FIVE PLAYS (Young Vic) and RABBITS (Park Theatre). Her writing credits include SWANSONG (Arcola and tour) and SUNSET FIVE (Greenwich Theatre and tour). And as a writer-director her credits include THE NEW ROMANTIC (Vaults Festival), ALBEE VECTOR THE SOUND COLLECTOR (Arcola, tour), and SEEING DOUBLE (Camden People’s Theatre). She received Best Play Award in the up-and-coming category from The Stage for SEEING DOUBLE; Best Studio Production from The Manchester Evening Standard for SWANSONG; and was a finalist in the 2017 JMK directing award.

 

Since joining production company Swamp Motel in 2020, she has collaboratively created immersive experiences including: The Kindling Hour, The Drop, The Alter and Saint Jude. She has also directed films for Twitter, Deloitte and Expedia as part of experiential brand campaigns.
